Light Ball is an A-tier defensive utility ball. Every hit applies Blind to the target — a 3-second debuff that causes their attacks to miss 50% of the time. That's effectively halving incoming damage from blinded enemies, which is one of the strongest defensive effects in the game.
Light excels in aggressive builds where you're taking hits, tanky characters that want to reduce incoming damage, and any setup that generates frequent hits (meaning Blind procs constantly). Evolution-wise, Sun (S) is the pinnacle, with Flash (Light + Lightning), Flicker, and Laser Beam as strong A-tier alternatives.
When to Pick
Pick Light almost always — halving incoming damage is universally valuable. The main question is which evolution to target. Sun is the safest primary evolution; Flash (Light + Lightning) is excellent if you already have Lightning Ball.
Lower priority in builds that never get hit (e.g., extreme range or wall builds) since Blind's defensive value requires enemies to attack you.

Tips
- Blind is a defensive tool: Light's primary value is cutting enemy accuracy in half, not raw damage. Use it to survive threatening waves.
- High hit builds: The more hits you land, the more consistent Blind uptime becomes. Pair with bounce passives for near-permanent coverage.
- Flash timing: If you have both Light and Lightning, hold off on evolving either until you can combine them into Flash.
- Boss fights: Laser Beam (A) aims directly at single targets. Against bosses, it's often the best Light evolution choice.
