I’ve started to notice that the deeper I go, the less I’m able to match these abyssal creatures with equivalents at the surface.

The Kerabeetle is quite a good example of this phenomenon.

Perhaps natural selection isn’t the only driving factor of adaptation here...

• Prioritize raw damage in early acts, swap toward survivability in mid–late game.
• Compare with similar-role creatures (taming difficulty, food preference) before locking it into your deck.
