The crossbow type of Ruby Raider. Acts on a 2-turn Load-then-Shoot cycle. Shoot's 14 damage is serious firepower for this early in the game.

Load Preparation

Load turns don't attack, so they're safe. Prep Block for next turn's Shoot at 14, or Burn it down during the Load.

Strategy Points

  • The 2nd-turn Shoot at 14 damage hurts badly. If you can't kill during Load, get solid Block up for the Shoot turn
  • Load turns are pure offense opportunities — ideally kill during the Load. HP 18-21 is low enough that even a starter deck can drop it on the Load with focused fire
  • When appearing with other Ruby Raiders, decide between killing the Assassin during Load or dropping Crossbow before Shoot based on the situation
