Beating Remnant is a Rare relic that caps the damage you take in a single turn at 20 HP. It acts as a safety valve against lethal-level hits — even when Block fails to cover a turn, your HP won't suddenly evaporate. It's especially reassuring as insurance against the hardest-hitting Act 3 bosses and Elites. That said, in normal combats there are few moments where you'd actually take 20+ damage, and decks that reliably stack Block won't feel much benefit.
