Rating

A-tier

A cost-1 Power that Channels one random Orb whenever a Status (Wound, Burn, etc.) is created. In decks that actively generate Statuses, you accumulate a surprising number of Orbs as a byproduct.

Reckless Charge generates 2 Wounds for 2 Orbs, Overclock creates 1 Burn for 1 Orb, and so on. Converting the downside of negative cards into free Orbs is a powerful inversion. Enemies that push Statuses onto you also feed the engine, meaning Status-slinging fights become net positive. The Orbs are random, but with Coolant or Loop that variability still yields consistent value.

How to Use

  • Pair with cards that self-inflict Statuses (Reckless Charge, Overclock, etc.) to spam Orb generation
  • Fights where enemies apply Statuses turn incoming trouble into Orbs
  • With Coolant, random Orbs convert reliably into Block
  • With Loop, the Channeled Orbs also benefit from the passive-trigger bonus

Good Synergies

  • Reckless Charge (Defect): Adds 2 Wounds. Turn the Tide converts them into 2 Orbs
  • Overclock: Adds a Burn. Turn the Tide converts it into 1 Orb while you attack
  • Coolant: Orb types times Block. Random Orbs from Turn the Tide count as types
  • Loop: Rightmost Orb passive triggers again. Orbs from Turn the Tide are valid targets
  • Reflex: Draw 2 when drawing a Status. Combined with Turn the Tide, Statuses become pure upside
