- Cost: 1
- Rarity: Common
- Effect: Gain 8 Block. Add a Soul into your Draw Pile.

- Effect: Gain 10 Block. Add a Soul+ into your Draw Pile.
Rating
An excellent Skill that at cost 1 provides top-tier Block (8–10) while also replenishing Souls in your Draw Pile. Handling both defense and Soul generation simultaneously makes it the backbone of any Soul-focused build.
After upgrading, it generates 10 Block and a Soul+ (the enhanced Soul), making the cost-to-effect ratio outstanding. When Soul-dependent Powers such as Possession or Soul Devourer are in play, the core loop of playing Grave Warden every turn to gain Block and refill Souls becomes the default game plan.
Rating: ★★★★☆ (Defensive cornerstone that doubles as Soul generation)
How to Use
- In Soul builds, play it every turn as the default action to secure defense and resources simultaneously
- Upgrade proactively — Soul+ from the upgraded version has significantly higher impact
- With Possession active, the Soul added to the Draw Pile can be drawn next turn for additional damage on top of the Block gained this turn
- Combine with Soul Flayer to stockpile Souls in the Draw Pile rapidly and amplify Soul Storm's damage
Good Synergies
- Possession: each Soul played causes a random enemy to lose 6–8 HP; sustained Soul refills from Grave Warden create a steady damage source
- Soul Devourer: each Soul played summons 1–2 minions; Grave Warden supplies Souls to keep growing Ossie
- Soul Storm: damage scales with Souls in the Exhaust pile; adding a Soul to the Draw Pile every turn means more Exhausted Souls over time
- Soul Extraction: adds 3–4 Souls to the Draw Pile at once; combined with Grave Warden enables large Soul stockpiling
Pick Priority
- Early Act 1: Highest priority — among the strongest Commons; Block 8 is top-tier for Necrobinder defense, and Soul generation is included
- Late Act 1: Highest priority — simultaneously handles defense and Soul supply, so its value is high at every stage
- Act 2 onward: High priority — consider picking multiple copies as a stable defensive anchor for Soul builds
- Boss reward: Medium priority — does not appear as a Boss reward since it is Common, but pick aggressively when seen in card rewards
