Rainbow Potion Staff Build
Rainbow Potion Staff Build
Core Mechanic
The Rainbow class item, Rainbow Potion, has a unique effect: collecting Tomes and Staffs grants rewards and makes Staffs appear in shops. With 20 buffs spent it triggers 2 random potion effects, so it pairs well with builds that generate many buffs.
Staffs normally require difficult crafts, but Rainbow Potion makes them appear directly in shops, giving you flexible access to a variety of magic effects.
Recommended Subclass: Rainbow
Rainbow is mandatory at Round 8. Rainbow Potion is the centerpiece.
Core Items and Placement
| Item | Role |
|---|---|
| Rainbow Potion | Class core; spend buffs for random effects |
| Various Staffs (Magic Staff, Cupcake Staff, etc.) | Main damage |
| Multiple Tomes | Buff generation + stat boost |
| Mana Orb / Sapphire | Mana supply |
| Armor / Shield | Defensive layer |
| Banana | Stamina supply |
Center Rainbow Potion and place Tomes and Staffs around it. Build placement that generates many buffs.
Build Order
Early game (Rounds 1-6)
Prioritize Tome and Staff materials. Move Wooden Sword → Magic Staff.
Mid game (Rounds 7-12)
Take Rainbow at Round 8. Center Rainbow Potion and collect Tomes and Staffs. Deliberately pick up buff-generating items.
Late game (Round 13+)
2-3 Staffs + multiple Tomes is the finished form. Reach a state where the 20-buff trigger fires repeatedly to chain random potion effects.
Tactics and Positioning
This build has heavy randomness, so optimization requires experience. Raise Tome and Staff count to lift buff generation rate, which increases random potion trigger frequency. Stability is medium, but the ceiling is high.
Difficult Matchups and Counters
- Buff-strip: removing Tome and Staff buffs hurts. Counter with Amethyst.
- Mana drought: Staffs eat Mana. Consider running a second Mana Orb.
- Opening-rush: takes time to come together. Layer shield + helm early.
Variations
Combining with Spirit (Spirit Bell) creates a pet + staff hybrid. Pairing with Shiny (Shiny Mantle) for an invulnerability + random-effect hybrid is theoretically possible.
