Large City is a coronation requirement. No matter what strategy you're running, without this card you cannot coronate. This isn't even a rating question — it's a must-buy, every single game.
Two Roles of Large City
1. Coronation Condition Card
To coronate (place a Princess in your Domain), you need:
- A Large City in your hand or play area
- A total of 6+ coins in hand and play area
Both conditions must be met simultaneously. Without Large City, coronation is impossible by rule.
2. Best Economy Card
At cost 6 for 3 coins, Large City is also among the most efficient pure economy cards:
