Cerberus
Overview
Cerberus is the three-headed guardian hound of the underworld, encountered as the boss of the Fields of Mourning — the third layer of the Underworld route. Each of his three heads attacks with distinct patterns, requiring Melinoë to neutralize them one at a time.
Attack Patterns
| Attack | Description |
|---|---|
| Triple Flame Breath | All three heads simultaneously breathe fire in a wide fan pattern that reaches across the arena |
| Charge | Cerberus lunges forward; dodge to the side and punish on the recovery |
| Tail Sweep | A wide sweeping strike with his tail covering a broad arc behind him |
| Ground Slam | Stamps the ground to send out a shockwave in all directions |
| Additional Hound Summons | Below half HP, smaller hounds spawn to join the fight |
Strategy
Target one head at a time — each head can be briefly stunned when it takes enough damage, and only during those stun windows does the main body take damage. The Triple Flame Breath telegraphs with a wind-up; circle to his back before it fires. When the hound adds spawn at half HP, use area attacks to clear them quickly before refocusing on Cerberus. Builds with piercing or multi-hit attacks (such as the Silver Bow or Sister Blades) are effective for hitting multiple heads at once.
Rewards
Defeating Cerberus drops Tears, used for crafting and Incantations at the Crossroads.
