Maw Bank is an event relic (a returning fan favorite from the previous game, obtainable via the Junk Pile event) that grants 12 gold for every map step until you visit a shop. Gold accumulates at (steps to shop × 12), so routes that delay the shop pay out massively. All of it becomes available at your next shop visit, making your purchasing power spike temporarily. Intentionally delaying shops maximizes the relic's effect.
