Arduhn Champion Guide
Arduhn is the Luna Coven clan champion. A dedicated defensive tank, he locks down the front line with high HP and shield-based abilities, buying Ekka the turns she needs to cycle spells and stack Phase. In any Luna Coven build, Arduhn's role is straightforward: be the shield that keeps Ekka alive.

Strengths
- High base HP — holds the front line for multiple floors without upgrades
- Defensive abilities — shield generation and self-sustain keep Arduhn standing through prolonged battles
- Ekka complement — while Ekka cycles spells in the back, Arduhn absorbs all enemy attacks alone
- Moonguard synergy — pairing with Moonguard units creates a layered defensive wall that is very hard to breach
Weaknesses
- Low offensive output — Arduhn is not an attacker; do not expect him to win fights through damage
- Spell-passive — unlike Ekka, he has no mechanism to amplify spells or benefit from Phase stacks
- Flat late-game scaling — without an exponential multiplier, Arduhn can fall behind as enemy units scale up significantly in late floors
Upgrade Priority
- Shield value / regen increase — direct survival boost, always first
- On-attack defensive buff to adjacent units — extends survivability to the whole line
- HP +5–10 — baseline HP increase, stabilizes early floors
Upgrade Path A: Pure Tank
Shield increase → regen increase → HP increase. Creates an immovable fortress on the front row. As long as Arduhn lives, Ekka is untouched and Phase keeps climbing.
Upgrade Path B: Support Tank
Prioritize "grant Shield to adjacent units on attack" upgrades to protect Moonguards and other units alongside Arduhn. The whole line gains durability at the cost of Arduhn being slightly thinner himself — watch his HP in early floors.
Role Division with Ekka
Luna Coven's two champions divide responsibilities cleanly:
- Arduhn — front row, absorbs all enemy attacks, never retreats while alive
- Ekka — back row, fires Cosmic Bolt and other Cycle spells every turn, stacking Phase and multiplying damage
While Arduhn lives, Ekka takes no hits and accumulates Phase freely. The moment Arduhn falls, Ekka is exposed — so maximizing Arduhn's durability is directly tied to the overall win rate of every Luna Coven run.
Recommended Card Synergies
- Cosmic Bolt — Ekka fires this in the back while Arduhn holds the line; the combo is the Luna Coven core loop
- Moonguard — doubles up the defensive wall next to Arduhn, making the front nearly impenetrable
- Shield-granting spells — externally topping up Arduhn's shields extends his staying power considerably
Difficult Situations and Counters
- Instant-kill / pierce effects — abilities that ignore shields bypass Arduhn entirely; keep situational tech cards in the deck
- Swarm (mass summons) — a single Arduhn can be overwhelmed by volume; rely on Ekka's AoE spells to clear excess units
- Disable effects (sleep / freeze / stun) — if Arduhn is locked out of action the front collapses; Meddler or similar support units help mitigate this
