Celestial Dusting

Overview

Item Details
English Name Celestial Dusting
Japanese Name 祝福の花束
Chinese Name 英华天落
Weapon Type Reverse-direction throw (projectile fires opposite to movement direction; cooldown reduces while moving)
Evolution Material (unknown)
Evolves To Profusione D'Amore
Pickup Priority B

Effect and Behavior

Throws a bouncing projectile in the direction opposite to the player's current movement. Unlike standard weapons that fire toward enemies, Celestial Dusting fires away from the direction of travel — which in practice means running away from an enemy cluster fires the projectile directly into them. Cooldown actively decreases while the player is moving, so stopping reduces fire rate significantly. At Lv8 (max), each kill restores a small amount of HP.

Unlocked by using O'Sole.

Evolution Conditions

Max Celestial Dusting (Lv 8), carry the required evolution item, and open an elite-drop chest after 10:00 to evolve into Profusione D'Amore.

Profusione D'Amore Effect

Post-evolution, chain explosions trigger at fixed intervals in addition to the reverse projectile. The explosions spread across multiple points, substantially widening the weapon's area coverage beyond what the base projectile alone provides.

Strengths

  • Reverse-direction mechanic turns "running away" into active attacking — movement and offense are unified
  • Cooldown reduction while moving directly ties fire rate to mobility — constant movement means near-constant fire
  • Lv8 HP recovery per kill adds meaningful sustain once the weapon is maxed
  • Post-evolution chain explosions add area coverage that the single-line projectile lacks

Weaknesses

  • Counter-intuitive firing direction requires deliberate repositioning to aim at enemies
  • Stopping to fight significantly reduces fire rate and DPS
  • Requires continuous movement and enemy-position awareness that other weapons don't demand
  • Requires using O'Sole for unlock

Recommended Characters

  • O'Sole: the unlock character
  • Characters with movement speed bonuses: amplify cooldown reduction, enabling near-constant fire
  • Imelda: +10% Growth reaches Lv8 HP recovery bonus faster

Recommended Passives

  • Bracer: movement speed increases cooldown reduction benefit — near-permanent active fire rate
  • Spinach: +10% Might raises projectile base damage
  • Hollow Heart: higher max HP raises the relative value of the Lv8 per-kill HP recovery
  • Candelabrador: wider area extends projectile bounce range and effective coverage distance

Synergistic Arcanas

  • IV Soul Eater: movement speed bonus further amplifies cooldown reduction
  • IX Divine Bloodline: crit compounding on the continuous projectile stream increases DPS

Strategy and Tips

  • Early (0–10 min): Level Celestial Dusting and grab Bracer early — the speed bonus is the single most impactful upgrade for this weapon. Practice moving away from enemy clusters so the projectile naturally fires into the crowd.
  • Mid (10–20 min): Push to Lv8 for the per-kill HP recovery. Secure the evolution item and evolve into Profusione D'Amore. The chain explosions offset the need for precise reverse-direction aiming.
  • Late (20+ min): Profusione D'Amore's chain explosions stack on top of the projectile stream. Maintain constant movement to keep fire rate at maximum — any standing still reduces output.

FAQ

Q: How do I unlock Celestial Dusting?
A: Use O'Sole — the weapon becomes available when playing as O'Sole.

Q: Does the weapon work if I'm not moving?
A: It still fires, but cooldown is longer when stationary, reducing fire rate noticeably. Constant movement keeps cooldown short and fire rate high.

Q: How do I aim the reverse projectile at enemies?
A: Move away from the enemy cluster — the projectile fires backward relative to your direction, meaning it flies toward where you came from. "Run away from enemies and shoot them from behind" is the core mechanic. Bracer helps by making direction changes faster.
