Rating
Vampire Lord is an S-tier evolved ball from the Vampire line. It applies bleed stacks on every hit, then when a stacked enemy is hit again (at or above the threshold), all stacks are consumed simultaneously for a massive HP burst heal.
The core mechanic is a build-then-cash-in cycle. You accumulate bleed stacks over multiple hits, then when the enemy crosses the threshold, you trigger a large one-time recovery. This is more efficient than drip-heal mechanics for recovering from burst damage — one well-timed Vampire Lord hit can restore a significant chunk of HP at once.
Stacks can be distributed across multiple enemies and will persist until consumed. You can pre-stack several enemies during a wave, then selectively consume whichever enemy crosses threshold first when you need HP.
When to Pick
- Builds that take burst damage and need fast, large recovery pulses rather than passive regen
- Multi-hit builds that can stack bleed quickly to cycle the threshold more often
- Long fights where bleed DOT from stacked enemies also contributes meaningful damage
- Vampire-line builds that want sustained, powerful life drain throughout a run
Best Characters
| Character | Synergy | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Survival / endurance builds | S | On-demand burst heal from threshold consumption rescues low-HP situations |
| Multi-hit builds | S | Rapid bleed stack accumulation shortens time-to-threshold, speeding up the heal cycle |
| Vampire-line hybrid builds | A | Combines with other life-drain sources for multi-channel recovery |
Recommended Passives
| Passive | Synergy |
|---|---|
| Bleed stack per hit increase | More stacks per hit = faster threshold reach = more frequent heals |
| Heal amount amplification | More HP restored per threshold consumption |
| Bleed threshold reduction | Lower stack requirement means shorter cycles to next heal |
| Bleed DOT damage up | Stacks also deal damage pre-consumption; more DOT = more total output |
| Fire rate / attack speed | More hits per second = faster stack accumulation |
Tips
- Target the same enemy repeatedly — stacking on one enemy reaches threshold faster than spreading stacks across many
- Save the threshold hit — when you're low on HP, having a stacked enemy ready to trigger is your safety valve; don't waste it on random hits
- Run multiples — multiple Vampire Lords stack bleed independently on their own hit targets; more balls means more simultaneous stacking and healing channels
- Bleed DOT is a bonus — the stacked bleed deals ongoing damage before the threshold hit; this adds significant passive DPS alongside the burst recovery
TL;DR
Vampire Lord stacks bleed with every hit and triggers a massive burst HP heal when a stacked enemy is hit above threshold. S-tier. On-demand large recovery paired with passive bleed DOT. Scales best with multi-hit builds and multiple Vampire Lord balls.
