Rating
A Shadow Update DoT + control ball. Each hit stacks venom, ramping into damage-over-time, slow, and eventually a paralysis lock — three layers of escalating pressure.
Best in boss / sustained fights where you can rack up stacks. Pairs phenomenally with hit-multiplier effects (Pingpong, Bounce, duplication). Less ideal for instant trash-clear duty.
Best Pairings
- Tunneller — screen-wrap loops let one ball keep stacking on a single target
- Physicist — better ball physics, more sustained hits
- Pingpong — bounce velocity multiplies stack accumulation
- Magnet — pulls balls back into the same enemy for re-procs
- Sisyphus (4× AoE) — broadens stack application across crowds
Evolutions
- Venom + Freeze → faster path to paralysis lock
- Venom + Bounce → stack-rate amplification
Playstyle
- Build for total hit count rather than per-hit damage
- In boss fights, start stacking early and stall to reach peak DoT
- For trash-heavy levels, pair with conventional AoE balls
