  • Effect: Applies 1 stack of venom on hit. Each stack deals damage per second and slows the target. Sufficient stacks paralyze enemies, locking them in place.

Rating

A Shadow Update DoT + control ball. Each hit stacks venom, ramping into damage-over-time, slow, and eventually a paralysis lock — three layers of escalating pressure.

Best in boss / sustained fights where you can rack up stacks. Pairs phenomenally with hit-multiplier effects (Pingpong, Bounce, duplication). Less ideal for instant trash-clear duty.

Best Pairings

  • Tunneller — screen-wrap loops let one ball keep stacking on a single target
  • Physicist — better ball physics, more sustained hits
  • Pingpong — bounce velocity multiplies stack accumulation
  • Magnet — pulls balls back into the same enemy for re-procs
  • Sisyphus (4× AoE) — broadens stack application across crowds

Evolutions

  • Venom + Freeze → faster path to paralysis lock
  • Venom + Bounce → stack-rate amplification

Playstyle

  • Build for total hit count rather than per-hit damage
  • In boss fights, start stacking early and stall to reach peak DoT
  • For trash-heavy levels, pair with conventional AoE balls
