Zombie is an A-tier ball with a necromancer-style mechanic: it infects enemies on contact, and when an infected enemy dies, there's a proc chance they rise as a friendly zombie that fights for you.

The core appeal is the snowball potential. Each zombie you create fights other enemies, potentially killing more, potentially generating more zombies. In large-wave stages with many weak enemies, this can produce a self-sustaining zombie army that continuously grinds down incoming threats.

The mechanic is proc-dependent — not every kill generates a zombie — but each zombie costs nothing extra. High-attack enemy types are especially valuable zombie targets since their zombified form retains those stats and turns them against their former allies.

When to Pick

  • Dense wave stages where many enemies are available to infect and kill
  • Long encounters where zombie snowballing has time to compound
  • Builds that want passive damage and frontline presence without additional investment
  • Against high-attack enemies that become powerful allies when zombified

  3. Use zombies as a frontline shield — let zombies absorb incoming damage from enemies while you deal with threats from safety
  4. Stack proc-chance passives — proc variance is the main limiting factor; higher chance per kill makes the mechanic much more consistent
