Character Overview
Gennaro Belpaese is a rapid-fire Crawler who starts with Knife. His innate passive adds +1 to all card projectile counts (Amount), immediately boosting the damage output of projectile-based cards. His fast-paced attack style is strong from the early game through mid-game, and further Amount stacking keeps his damage competitive into the late game.
Unique Ability
Amount is permanently increased by +1. This applies to every card that fires projectiles — most notably Knife and its evolved form Thousand Edge. The bonus carries through evolution, making it particularly potent after the Knife evolves.
Strengths
- Amount +1 makes Knife fire an extra projectile immediately, boosting early damage
- Thousand Edge scales dramatically with Amount, rewarding further Amount investments
- Amount Gems stack on top of the passive for exponential gains
- Multiple simultaneous projectiles excel against dense enemy clusters
Weaknesses
- High Amount distributes hits across multiple enemies, making boss focus-fire less reliable
- Overinvesting in Amount can leave Might, Speed, and other stats underdeveloped
- Amount bonus relative value decreases in the late game where damage-type scaling matters more
Recommended Build
Center the deck on Knife and prioritize Amount Gems. Evolve to Thousand Edge as early as possible to capitalize on Amount-dependent damage. Maintain Combo Stack + Chain Link to convert multi-hit attacks into high Combo counts, then apply the Combo bonus to Thousand Edge's already high output.
Recommended Arcanas
- Sharp Mind: Balanced draws help maintain the Knife-to-support ratio in the deck
- Mana Syphon: Prevents Mana shortages in a high-speed, high-output deck
Recommended Relics
- Gem Hammer: Amount Gems become trigger sources for bonus damage
- Stardust Anvil: Maximizes stat gains when evolving to Thousand Edge
Tier Rating: B Tier
A well-rounded B Tier Crawler with strong early and mid-game performance. The rapid-fire Thousand Edge build is excellent through mid-game, but supplementing with Might and other late-game scalers is necessary for high-difficulty success. Accessible for beginners, with enough depth for experts.
