Effect and Behavior
Pressure Point is the final evolved form of Punch. It retains the same horizontal-only (left-right) attack pattern but with improved damage and stats. Its defining ability is the "Shenlong Firefist" glimmer tech — a significantly more powerful fire explosion than Punch's "Raksha" glimmer tech.
- Upgraded version of Punch's horizontal attack pattern
- "Shenlong Firefist" glimmer tech triggers during glimmer state, generating a large fire explosion
- Higher Might amplifies Shenlong Firefist's explosion damage
- Final form — no further evolution
How to Obtain
Level Punch to MAX and open a treasure chest after 10:00. No passive item is required for the evolution. Punch itself must first be unlocked by leveling it to 6 in any run.
Glimmer Tech: Shenlong Firefist
During glimmer state, Pressure Point can trigger "Shenlong Firefist" — a powerful fire explosion that deals substantially more damage than Punch's Raksha tech. Against dense horizontal enemy formations, the explosion can clear large groups in an instant. Might directly scales the explosion's damage output.
Strengths
- Fully upgraded version of Punch's horizontal attack — all the same stat scaling with higher base numbers
- Shenlong Firefist deals massive burst damage to horizontally packed enemy groups
- No passive slot used for evolution — weapon slot efficiency is preserved
- Strong Might scaling rewards heavy Spinach investment
Weaknesses
- Still zero coverage in the forward and backward directions — same fundamental limitation as Punch
- Shenlong Firefist depends on glimmer state and cannot be reliably forced
- Close-range weapon with no long-distance reach
- A second weapon providing vertical/orbital coverage remains necessary
Recommended Characters
Characters that naturally use Punch in their build will evolve into Pressure Point. High Might builds that invest heavily in Spinach maximize Shenlong Firefist's explosion output.
Recommended Passives
| Passive | Reason |
|---|---|
| Spinach | Might increase amplifies both horizontal swing damage and Shenlong Firefist explosion |
| Crown | Cooldown reduction increases swing frequency and glimmer tech triggering opportunities |
| Duplicator | Amount increase adds more horizontal projectiles per activation |
| Candelabrador | Area increase extends horizontal reach and Shenlong Firefist explosion radius |
| Bracer | Projectile speed widens the effective horizontal hit zone |
Recommended Arcana
| Arcana | Effect |
|---|---|
| IIIII - Chaos in the Dark Night | More projectiles increase horizontal attack density |
| XIII - Wicked Season | Global stat increases amplify Shenlong Firefist and normal swing damage |
Gameplay Tips
Play style after evolving from Punch remains the same — keep enemies approaching from the sides. The primary payoff of evolving to Pressure Point is the Shenlong Firefist upgrade, so prioritize Might investment to maximize the glimmer tech's explosion.
Pair with an orbital or radial weapon to cover the vertical blind spots that Pressure Point cannot address. Pressure Point handles horizontal waves; the companion weapon handles vertical approach.
FAQ
Q. Can Pressure Point be obtained without Punch? A. No — Pressure Point is exclusively obtained by evolving Punch. Unlock Punch by leveling it to 6 in any run first.
Q. Is Shenlong Firefist stronger than Raksha? A. Yes — Shenlong Firefist (Pressure Point's glimmer tech) is significantly stronger than Raksha (Punch's glimmer tech). Evolving to Pressure Point is the direct upgrade path.
Q. How much Might is enough? A. More Spinach stacks always improve Shenlong Firefist's output. Stack as many as your build's passive slots allow.
