When you defeat a boss, any damage dealt beyond the boss's remaining HP is counted as overkill damage. This excess damage is converted into coins, with higher overkill values yielding more coins. Since the combo multiplier scales all damage, a strong combo chain on the killing blow generates massive overkill and therefore massive coin gains.

Found in the Mini Bridge area, alongside the Stardust Anvil. Both relics can often be targeted in a single exploration push through that area.
