Dress Sword

Overview

Item Details
English Name Dress Sword
Japanese Name ドレスソード
Chinese Name 礼剑
Weapon Type Melee slash with tech (surrounding slash attack; can trigger Shocking Rush tech)
Obtained By Evolving Fleuret
Evolves To Self-evolves at max level (destination unknown)
Pickup Priority B

Effect and Behavior

An evolved weapon obtained by maxing Fleuret and fulfilling the evolution material condition. Where Fleuret performs a thrust attack, Dress Sword performs sweeping slashes around the player. The weapon can trigger the Shocking Rush tech — a charged electric dash attack that activates under specific conditions and hits a wide arc of enemies with electric damage.

Despite being an evolved weapon itself, Dress Sword may further evolve at max level with no passive item required. Dress Sword cannot be picked up directly in a run — it enters through the Fleuret evolution path exclusively.

Evolution / Acquisition Conditions

Max Fleuret (Lv 8) and carry the required evolution material before opening a chest after 10:00 — this converts Fleuret into Dress Sword. Once you have Dress Sword, it may further self-evolve at its own max level. The post-evolution weapon name is currently unconfirmed.

Strengths

  • Shocking Rush tech delivers a wide-arc electric dash that hits multiple enemies in a single activation
  • Immediate combat effectiveness as a fully evolved weapon from the moment of acquisition
  • Higher attack speed increases Shocking Rush tech frequency — combining standard slashes and dash activations maintains strong sustained DPS
  • Melee slash covers surrounding enemies efficiently in dense clusters

Weaknesses

  • Access cost: requires Fleuret evolution first (plus Fleuret's own evolution material)
  • Melee range requires sustained proximity to enemies — increases incoming damage exposure
  • Tech activation frequency varies; consistent DPS depends on Shocking Rush triggering reliably
  • Evolution destination currently unknown

Recommended Characters

  • Pecho Tiffoni: starts with Fleuret — the most natural path to Dress Sword
  • Melee-focused and movement-speed characters: maximize Shocking Rush dash coverage
  • Imelda: +10% Growth speeds the entire Fleuret → Dress Sword evolution path

Recommended Passives

  • Spinach: +10% Might raises both the surrounding slashes and Shocking Rush tech damage
  • Bracer: attack speed increase raises Shocking Rush activation frequency
  • Candelabrador: wider area extends the slash arc and the effective hit zone of the tech
  • Hollow Heart: max HP increase for survivability at close melee range

Synergistic Arcanas

  • IX Divine Bloodline: crit compounding on Shocking Rush's high-damage hits delivers extreme burst
  • IV Soul Eater: movement speed bonus improves dash reach and approach angles for the tech

Strategy and Tips

  • Fleuret phase: Level Fleuret while collecting the evolution material. The faster Fleuret reaches Lv8 and evolves, the sooner Dress Sword is active. Growth passives (or Imelda) shorten this phase.
  • After acquiring Dress Sword (early–mid): Add Bracer for attack speed to increase Shocking Rush frequency. As a melee weapon, actively move into dense enemy clusters — the dash tech can clear multiple enemies in a single activation.
  • Late (20+ min): High attack speed paired with Shocking Rush coverage maintains damage throughput against large hordes. Spinach and Candelabrador together raise both damage and range to handle escalating enemy density.

FAQ

Q: How do I get Dress Sword?
A: Max Fleuret (Lv 8) and carry its required evolution material, then open a chest after 10:00 in a run. Dress Sword cannot be picked up directly — it only enters through Fleuret's evolution path.

Q: How does the Shocking Rush tech activate?
A: The tech glimmers and fires automatically when specific conditions are met (typically attack-count accumulation or status triggers). Increasing attack speed with Bracer increases the frequency of the tech activation.

Q: Can Dress Sword evolve further?
A: Current data indicates a self-evolution at max level is possible, but the post-evolution destination is unconfirmed. Verify the actual evolution result during gameplay.
