Effect and Behavior
The evolved form of Super Missile. Fires a continuous barrage of missiles at the nearest enemy and triggers the "Artificial Hailstorm" tech when a glimmer occurs — raining down a simultaneous burst of projectiles from above across a wide area. The tech fires on top of the standard missile rate, meaning every glimmer event adds a separate high-density aerial volley to the existing output.
Artificial Hailstorm's downward burst covers a broad zone simultaneously, catching spread-out enemies that would require multiple direct missile hits to reach. Dense clusters take especially high burst damage when the hailstorm descends directly onto them. Self-evolving means no passive slot is needed for the next evolution tier.
Evolution Conditions
Max Hydra Cannon (Lv 8) and open an elite-drop chest after 10:00 to evolve — no passive material required (self-evolving). The post-evolution weapon name is currently unconfirmed.
Strengths
- Glimmer-triggered Artificial Hailstorm adds wide-area aerial bombardment on top of continuous missile fire
- Descending hailstorm projectiles hit spread-out enemies simultaneously — effective where direct missiles would miss
- Self-evolving keeps all passive slots free for damage amplification
- Starting from Super Missile means strong baseline fire rate and damage before Hydra Cannon's tech adds on top
Weaknesses
- Requires evolving through two prior stages (Stalker → Super Missile → Hydra Cannon)
- Evolution destination currently unknown
- Artificial Hailstorm timing depends on glimmer events — burst frequency is outside direct player control
Recommended Characters
- Characters that increase glimmer frequency: more Artificial Hailstorm procs raises total DPS
- Imelda: +10% Growth levels Hydra Cannon faster for earlier self-evolution to the next tier
- Characters synergistic with the Stalker missile chain build path
Recommended Passives
- Spinach: +10% Might raises both standard missile damage and Artificial Hailstorm projectile damage (top priority)
- Duplicator: Amount increase adds more simultaneous missiles and expands the hailstorm burst density
- Candelabrador: Area increase widens the hit zone of each hailstorm projectile for more targets per burst
- Bracer: Projectile Speed extends missile reach and accelerates the hailstorm descent
Synergistic Arcanas
- IX Divine Bloodline: crit compounding on both missile hits and hailstorm projectiles significantly raises DPS
- VIII Great Gospel: Area boost expands each hailstorm projectile's coverage zone
Strategy and Tips
- Acquisition phase: evolve Stalker → Super Missile → Hydra Cannon through the two-step chain. After acquiring Hydra Cannon, prioritize leveling to maximize tech proc efficiency.
- Mid (10–20 min): Push to Lv8 for self-evolution. Reinforce with Spinach and Candelabrador — wider hailstorm blast zones catch more enemies per glimmer event.
- Late (20+ min): At high level, each glimmer drops Artificial Hailstorm across a wide area simultaneously. Position over enemy clusters so the descending burst lands directly on peak density for maximum multi-target hits per activation.
FAQ
Q: How do I get Hydra Cannon?
A: Evolve Stalker into Super Missile, then evolve Super Missile into Hydra Cannon. It cannot be picked up directly as a weapon offer in runs.
Q: What is the Artificial Hailstorm tech?
A: A wide-area aerial burst that activates on glimmer events, raining down multiple projectiles from above simultaneously. Dense enemy clusters take heavy burst damage as multiple projectiles land in the same area during a single tech activation.
Q: How many evolution stages does it take from Stalker?
A: Two steps: Stalker → Super Missile (first evolution) → Hydra Cannon (second evolution). Each step requires its own evolution conditions to be fulfilled.
