Effect and Behavior
Sword Brothers is a rare dual-purpose weapon that grants a brief invincibility window and simultaneously deals a damaging shockwave to surrounding enemies. Unlike conventional weapons that only deal damage, Sword Brothers briefly makes the player invulnerable at the moment it fires — if a lethal hit lands in that exact frame, the player survives.
Cooldown governs how often it fires, shrinking as the weapon levels up. Area scales the shockwave's size, Might increases damage, and Speed increases how fast and far the shockwave spreads. Thunder Loop provides Speed +1 and serves double duty as both the evolution material and a performance boost to the shockwave itself.
Evolution Path
Hold Thunder Loop, max Sword Brothers, then open a chest after 10:00 to evolve.

Strengths
The simultaneous offense-and-defense trigger is Sword Brothers' defining advantage. When the invincibility window coincides with a lethal incoming attack, the player survives and deals damage in the same instant. In high-density late-game scenarios where enemy pressure is overwhelming, this dramatically improves survival rates. Stacking Area and Speed extends the shockwave's reach, letting it clear enemies well beyond melee range.
Weaknesses
The invincibility window is extremely short and cannot be deliberately timed — it fires on its own automatic cycle. There is no guarantee the window will line up with an incoming deadly hit when it matters most. Raw damage output can lag behind same-tier weapons. Access is also gated to Ebony Diablouge selection, limiting which runs can open with this weapon.

Gameplay Tips
Think of Sword Brothers as passive death insurance rather than a primary damage dealer. On stages with hard-hitting elite enemies or special attacks that can one-shot, the invincibility window earns its slot through saved death-runs alone. Don't rely on it as active defense — treat invincibility as a bonus and kite normally. Secure Thunder Loop early to both prepare the evolution and improve shockwave performance, then invest in Area and Speed to maximize clearing range.
FAQ
Q. How long does the invincibility last? A. It is extremely brief — just a flash at the moment of activation. It only saves you if a lethal hit lands in that exact instant. You cannot intentionally time it.
Q. Can I use Sword Brothers without Thunder Loop? A. Yes — the invincibility and shockwave both function without it. Thunder Loop is the evolution requirement and also adds Speed, so acquiring it early is strongly recommended but not mandatory for the weapon to work.
Q. What does increasing Area do? A. The shockwave radius expands, reaching enemies further from the player at the moment of activation. This is especially effective against densely packed enemy groups.
