Four Seasons

Overview

Item Details
English Name Four Seasons
Japanese Name 春夏秋冬
Chinese Name 天有四时
Weapon Type Four-directional seasonal projectiles (rotating)
Evolution Material Spinach
Evolves To Godai Shuffle
Pickup Priority B

Effect and Behavior

Fires seasonal projectiles simultaneously in four directions (up, down, left, right), each with a distinct trajectory. The projectiles spread and rotate outward, covering a wide arc per direction. Level scaling increases projectile count, damage, and speed — at high levels each direction fires multiple shots that blanket the surrounding area.

Four-directional symmetry means no single approach angle catches you off guard. Spinach pairs naturally: it boosts damage while also serving as the evolution prerequisite, making it one of the least-disruptive evolution investments in the game.

Evolution Conditions

Max Four Seasons (Lv 8), carry Spinach, and open an elite-drop chest after 10:00 to evolve into Godai Shuffle. Spinach is a universal damage passive that fits most builds, so the evolution condition rarely conflicts with other weapons you're building.

Godai Shuffle Effect

After evolution five large seasonal shots fire in a rapid, wide-spread barrage. Coverage and DPS increase dramatically — the evolved form clears dense enemy waves with ease and functions as a capable late-game main weapon. The step up from base to evolved is substantial enough to feel like a different weapon entirely.

Strengths

  • Equal four-directional coverage regardless of enemy approach angle
  • Spinach is a universal passive with no opportunity cost for evolution
  • Post-evolution DPS and coverage increase dramatically
  • Fully automatic — no directional input needed

Weaknesses

  • Pre-evolution single-shot damage is low; mid-game DPS can feel underwhelming
  • Spread pattern makes concentrated single-target boss damage inefficient
  • Spinach competes with other weapon evolution paths — must prioritize
  • Projectile spread can be partially blocked in cluttered environments

Recommended Characters

  • Gennaro: extra projectile count adds shots per direction
  • Imelda: +10% Growth speeds evolution
  • Porta: area bonus extends projectile reach per direction

Recommended Passives

  • Spinach: mandatory for evolution; +10% Might bonus is independently useful
  • Duplicator: extra projectile count adds shots per volley
  • Candelabrador: wider area extends reach
  • Bracer: higher projectile speed extends range

Synergistic Arcanas

  • IX Divine Bloodline: crit compounding with multi-directional multi-hits
  • XX Silent Old Sanctuary: projectile +1 and speed bonus densify all-direction fire

Strategy and Tips

  • Early (0–10 min): Level Four Seasons and collect Spinach. Use the four-directional spread to handle enemies closing from any angle.
  • Mid (10–20 min): Hit Lv MAX + Spinach → evolve into Godai Shuffle. The wide barrage clears dense waves efficiently.
  • Late (20+ min): Add Duplicator and Candelabrador to push Godai Shuffle's coverage. Keep a focused single-target weapon alongside for boss DPS.

FAQ

Q: How does Four Seasons differ from other all-direction weapons?
A: The rotating, spreading trajectories cover a broader arc than fixed-direction weapons, but the spread pattern reduces concentrated single-point damage. Better for wave clearing than boss burst.

Q: What if Spinach is already used for another evolution?
A: Decide early which evolution takes priority for the run. Spinach is the most contested passive in multi-weapon builds — commit to one path and collect accordingly.

Q: Is it weak against bosses?
A: Yes — the spread means low hit concentration on a single target. Pair Godai Shuffle with a focused boss weapon and use Four Seasons exclusively for wave clear.
