Danger: C-tier

A curse that costs 10 gold whenever it ends a turn in your hand. Since it drains gold and not HP, it cannot kill you mid-fight, making it milder than most curses in terms of survival. The gold loss still hurts indirectly — it eats into shop purchases and card removals, which weakens the run over time. You especially want to avoid it when shops have strong relics or cards on offer. Long fights or back-to-back elites can easily rack up dozens of gold in cumulative losses as the deck cycles.

• Event "Crystal Sphere": choosing "Payment Plan" gives you 6 Divines plus Debt into your deck. Divine is a strong card effect, so this trades against the Debt drawback. The alternative "Glimpse the Future" spends gold for only 3 Divines
• Random curse application effects (various events and relics) can roll Debt

• Shop removal: ~75g. Since the removal cost is itself gold, remove it early before Debt drains enough to make removal unaffordable
• Blue Candle: play at 1 HP to Exude it — trade 1 HP for no gold loss
• Empty your hand: if you play every card each turn, Debt cannot trigger
• Omamori: blocks the next 2 curse applications
• 0 gold: if you have 0 gold in hand, the drawback is null. Spending everything before the next shop is a valid line
• Du-Vu Doll: +1 Strength per curse in the deck. Opens up the option of keeping Debt rather than removing it

• Blue Candle: Exude Debt for 1 HP and stop the gold bleed
• Fire Breathing (Ironclad): deals damage every time you draw Debt
• Feel No Pain (Ironclad): gain Block when Blue Candle Exudes Debt
• Darkstone Periapt: +6 HP whenever you gain a curse. Debt does not harm HP, so the +6 is pure upside
• Du-Vu Doll: +1 Strength per curse in the deck — creates reasons to keep Debt instead of removing it
