Basic Info
- HP: 191 (Ascension: 199)
- Act: Path of Glory
- Passive: Plate 15 — Gains 15 Block automatically each turn (Ascension: 19)
Among the strongest regular enemies in Path of Glory. On top of HP 191, Plate 15 grants automatic Block every turn, making effective durability enormous. Below 50% HP it also unleashes Beetle Charge as a one-time ultimate.
Attack Patterns
Starts with Tongue Whip, then cycles through Smite Evil then For the Queen. Below 50% HP, Beetle Charge interrupts.
| Action | Damage | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Tongue Whip | 13 | Attack + applies Vulnerable 2 (Ascension: 14) |
| Smite Evil | 21 | Heavy damage attack (Ascension: 23) |
| For the Queen | — | Gains Strength 5 |
| Beetle Charge | 35 | One-time ultimate below 50% HP (Ascension: 40) |
Tongue Whip's Vulnerable 2 is quietly awful — Smite Evil's 21 under Vulnerable is effectively 31. For the Queen adds Strength 5, so every attack gets heavier as cycles progress.
Strategy Points
- You need damage that punches through Plate 15 (19 on Ascension) each turn. Anything 15 or lower gets fully absorbed by Block, doing no HP damage. Single big hits pierce Plate better than multi-hit attacks
- Beetle Charge (35 damage, 40 on Ascension) fires once below 50% HP. Slowly chipping past 50% triggers a massive attack next turn, so when near 50% either set up max Block or finish the kill in one burst
- After Strength 5 from For the Queen, every attack is +5 damage. Tongue Whip becomes 18, Smite Evil becomes 26, and another For the Queen adds another +5. Long fights are bad
- Tongue Whip's Vulnerable 2 lasts 2 turns. A Smite Evil landing during Vulnerable deals 1.5x, so stack heavy Block on the turn after Tongue Whip
- Scaling damage that bypasses Plate (Poison, Orbs) is a huge advantage. Poison ignores Block, so it effectively ignores Plate 15
- HP 191 is a long haul, so deal as much damage as possible before For the Queen fires to keep the fight short
