Choices
Trade Offers (3 presented)
- 1-for-1 trade between an owned Relic and a new Relic
- Both lose and gain are shown up front
- Only one of the three trades can be taken (no multi-trade)
"Pass"
- Walk away without trading
Recommended Choice
Compare the three offers and pick the one with the best net swap. If you can cut a Relic that is not pulling weight in your current deck and gain one that shores up a weakness, take it without hesitation.
If none of the trades are favorable, passing is correct. Losing a core Relic for a worse one is not acceptable. If every offer is mediocre, passing is the right call.
Strategy
- Both the Relic you lose and the Relic you gain are shown up front, so take your time. You can pause to read effects
- Starter Relics like Burning Blood are extremely valuable early, but by late Act 2 or Act 3 the deck is nearly finished and other Relics may serve better. Do not auto-reject a trade just because it involves the starter Relic
- If your deck direction is set, prioritize trades that reinforce that axis. Example: a Block-heavy deck trades an offense Relic for a Block-scaling Relic
- Showing up in Act 2 means you are still at the midpoint, so per-combat scaling Relics still have plenty of time to pay off
- Showing up in Act 3 means few combats remain, so prioritize "every turn" effects or boss-fight Relics
- A mismatched traded-in Relic cannot be undone, so only trade when the value gain is clear
