"Follow the Wisp"

• Add the Curse "Decay" to your deck. Gain Lost Wing (Relic)

"Ignore it"

• Gain 75 Gold

Lost Wing has a strong effect, so "Follow the Wisp" is usually recommended. The Relic's permanent effect applies for the rest of the run and often outweighs the cost of a single Curse ("Decay").

"Ignore it" gets you 75 Gold at zero risk, but the payout is on the modest side. It is the safer line when a Shop is close and you need Gold, or when your deck is so thin that a Curse has a large impact.

• Read Lost Wing's effect and evaluate its synergy with your deck. If the Relic lines up with your deck's direction it is almost always correct to follow the Wisp
• Decay is a Curse card, so drawing it disrupts your turn. The impact is diluted in a larger deck
• If you have access to Curse removal, follow the Wisp and then strip out Decay for an effectively risk-free Relic
• Past the middle of Act 2, when you have fewer fights left, the Curse has less time to hurt you, so the risk of following the Wisp is relatively low
• With a deck of 15 cards or fewer and no Curse removal, Decay's impact is too heavy, so taking the Gold is safer
