Adventurer
Fedora Buff Steal Build
Fedora Buff Steal Build
Core Mechanic
The Treasure Hunter class item, Fedora, grants a large amount of Luck on round start when unique items are placed above the brim, and increases treasure item shop frequency. Considered the strongest Adventurer build.
Evolving Boomerang into Daggerang triggers the effect that steals the opponent's buffs while attacking. Fedora's Luck generation maximizes steal odds, and Hero Shield rounds out defense.
Recommended Subclass: Treasure Hunter
Treasure Hunter is mandatory at Round 8. Fedora is the centerpiece.
Core Items and Placement
| Item | Role |
|---|---|
| Fedora | Class core; unique items above the brim grant Luck |
| Daggerang | Buff-steal + attack main weapon |
| Boomerang | Material for Daggerang |
| Rope | Item connection + Daggerang craft material |
| Hero Shield | Defense + unique slot |
| Banana | Stamina supply |
Center Fedora and place unique items above the brim. Cluster Daggerang to maximize buff steals.
Build Order
Early game (Rounds 1-6)
Prioritize Boomerang and Rope. Move Wooden Sword → Dagger.
Mid game (Rounds 7-12)
Take Treasure Hunter at Round 8. Center Fedora and line up unique items (Hero Shield, Lucky Piggy, etc.) above the brim. Slot Daggerang into the bag with top priority when it appears.
Late game (Round 13+)
2-3 Daggerangs + Hero Shield + multiple unique items is the finished form. Fedora's Luck generation pushes steal odds near-guaranteed, and you attack one-sidedly while stripping opponent buffs.
Tactics and Positioning
This build "steals opponent buffs". Particularly favorable against buff-dependent opponents (Mega Clover ignition, Bowl archetypes). The more unique items above the Fedora's brim, the higher the Luck — collect unique items deliberately.
Difficult Matchups and Counters
- Buff-independent (poison spike): the steal value is muted. Push raw Daggerang damage instead.
- High armor: even Daggerang can struggle to pierce. Backstop with Hammer.
- Opening-rush: assembly takes time in some cases. Layer shield + helm early.
Variations
Combining with Shellguard (Turtle) creates a defense + steal hybrid. Pairing with Balancer (Scale) for trigger-speed boost is theoretically possible.
