Mercury Poison Melee Build

Tier A 中級者向け

Mercury Poison Melee Build

Core Mechanic

The Mercury class item, Mercury Elemental, regenerates Stamina based on adjacent melee weapon count and converts a fraction of melee/ranged damage into armor. A unique build that runs many melee weapons — normally a "do not over-equip" category.

It also applies poison to both players per 1 Stamina spent, so it pairs well with poison mechanics.

Recommended Subclass: Mercury

Mercury is mandatory at Round 8. Mercury Elemental is the centerpiece.

Core Items and Placement

Item Role
Mercury Elemental Class core; Stamina regen & damage → armor conversion
Melee weapons (multiple): Dagger, Spear, Hammer, etc. Main damage
Poison items (Fly Agaric, Pestilence Flask) Poison mechanic support
Holy Armor or Emerald Self-poison defense
Armor / Shield Defensive layer
Banana Stamina supply

Center Mercury Elemental and place 5-7 melee weapons in adjacent slots. Socket Emeralds into melee weapons to lift poison damage.

Build Order

Early game (Rounds 1-6)

Prioritize melee weapons (Dagger, Short Spear) and Healing Herbs. Chip with Wooden Sword.

Mid game (Rounds 7-12)

Take Mercury at Round 8. Center Mercury Elemental and place melee weapons around. Splice in poison sources (Fly Agaric, Pestilence Flask).

Late game (Round 13+)

7 melee weapons + Mercury Elemental + Emeralds is the finished form. Stamina regen keeps weapons firing, damage → armor conversion keeps defense solid.

Tactics and Positioning

This build "runs many weapons at high speed". Stamina regen makes resource management easy, but don't forget self-poison defense (Holy Armor, Emerald, debuff cleanse).

Difficult Matchups and Counters

  • Buff-strip: removing Mercury Elemental buffs hurts. Counter with Amethyst.
  • High armor: melee weapons have low single-hit power, so mix in a Double Axe.
  • Opening-rush: assembly takes time in some cases. Layer shield + helm early.

Variations

Combining with Treasure Hunter (Fedora) creates a buff-steal + many-weapons hybrid. Pairing with Balancer (Scale) for trigger speed is also effective.
