Anvil Double Axe Build

Tier A 中級者向け

Anvil Double Axe Build

Core Mechanic

The Blacksmith class item, Anvil, sharply boosts adjacent-weapon damage and continuously generates Flame (fire items) during a round. This unlocks fire weapon crafts (Burning Sword, etc.) — options normally exclusive to the Pyromancer.

Double Axe is one of the highest single-hit melee damage weapons in the game, and with the Anvil boost on top, each swing balloons into a 20-30 damage hammer. Strong armor-pierce too, so heavy armor opponents collapse.

Recommended Subclass: Blacksmith

Blacksmith is mandatory at Round 8. Anvil sits in the class-item slot, which stabilizes Flame generation.

Core Items and Placement

Item Role
Anvil Class core; adjacent-weapon boost + Flame generation
Double Axe Main damage weapon
Hot Coal Anvil-adjacent material that compounds the boost
Steel Goobert Refills Stamina/Mana on buff gain
Banana / Blueberries Stamina supply
Armor / Shield Defensive layer

Center Anvil and place Double Axe in an adjacent slot. Surround Anvil with Hot Coals and the adjacency bonus + Flame generation run together.

Build Order

Early game (Rounds 1-6)

Build the basics with Piggybank + Lucky Clover while chipping with Axes or Hammers. Watch for Anvil around rounds 3-5.

Mid game (Rounds 7-12)

Take Blacksmith at Round 8. Center Anvil and place Double Axe adjacent. Round out the buff loop with Steel Goobert and Hot Coal.

Late game (Round 13+)

Add a second Double Axe or splice in fire weapons like Burning Sword. At completion, you shave 50%+ of the opponent's HP in a single turn cycle.

Tactics and Positioning

This is a single-hit pressure build. Stamina drains hard, so secure at least 3-4 Bananas/Blueberries. Armor-pierce is strong, so the matchup against Turtle shield-doubling is favorable.

Difficult Matchups and Counters

  • Opening-rush archetypes (Reaper opening poison): you get chipped before Double Axe fires. Layer shield + armor early.
  • Sustain archetypes (Lifebinder healing): you can lose the trade through their lifesteal. Splice in Burning Sword for sustained extra damage.
  • Buff-strip: removing Anvil's adjacency buffs hurts. Counter with Amethyst.

Variations

A "fire-weapon" variant runs more Hot Coals to maximize Flame generation and runs 2-3 Burning Swords. Pairing with Fighter (Brass Knuckles) is hard for placement, but is an option if you want the attack-speed buff.
