Berserker Build Tier List

Class Position

The Berserker is a physical attacker built around "single-hit damage and armor pierce". It starts with extra stamina and a unique class mechanic — Battle Rage (attack speed boost) that triggers once HP drops low. In late-season 2026 meta, it sits between mid-tier and top-tier, with Anvil + Double Axe builds dominating physical matchups.

The starter Axe is cheaper for Berserker than for other classes, and the path into Hammer is natural. The win condition is "win the slugfest" — easy for new players, while complex placement builds like Chieftain Endurance reward advanced players. A class with depth.

Tier Criteria

Tier Rating Characteristics
S Top meta Single-hit damage + armor pierce, the staple
A Consistently strong Beginner-friendly + flexible
B Situational Placement difficulty, specific favorable matchups

S Tier — Top Meta

Anvil Double Axe Build (Blacksmith)

Blacksmith's Anvil sharply boosts adjacent weapons and continuously generates Flame mid-round. Layer Double Axe and you spam 20-30 damage hammer hits. Strong armor pierce shreds heavy armor like Turtle shield-doubling. The community rates this as "top-tier damage across all classes".

A Tier — The Stable Core

Fighter Hammer Build (Fighter)

Hit-spam build that combines Fighter's Brass Knuckles (stamina-free spam + accuracy/crit buff) with Hammer's stun + Dagger chain. Brass Knuckles is 1-slot, giving placement freedom — widely considered the most beginner-friendly Berserker subclass.

Pack Leader Wolf Build (Pack Leader)

Minion build that uses Wolf Emblem's pet-count-scaled crit, Puppies (Courage / Wisdom / Strength) trio, and Double Axe. Pet collection takes effort, but when assembled it becomes a balanced offense/defense build. Intermediate to advanced players.

Brass Knuckles Double Axe Build (Fighter)

Hybrid that lands Brass Knuckles' buffs onto Double Axe. Functions as a flexible alternative when Anvil doesn't appear.

B Tier — Niche / Advanced

Chieftain Endurance Build (Chieftain)

Endurance build that extends Battle Rage duration via Deerwood Guardian based on Nature item count. Correct placement is narrow and Guardian positioning is tricky. Some consider it the strongest subclass, but requires experience.

Shaman Rune Build (Shaman)

Unique build that converts Luck to buffs via Shaman Mask and applies Shaman-exclusive Runes (Badger, Elephant, Hawk) to weapons. Shop-luck dependent, but Runes are inaccessible to other classes — high distinctiveness.

Subclass Selection Guide

Subclass Class Item Recommended Build
Blacksmith Anvil Anvil Double Axe
Fighter Brass Knuckles Fighter Hammer, Brass Knuckles Double Axe
Pack Leader Wolf Emblem Pack Leader Wolf
Chieftain Deerwood Guardian Chieftain Endurance
Shaman Shaman Mask Shaman Rune

If Anvil + Double Axe are visible, take Blacksmith without question. Otherwise, Fighter (versatile) is the stable default. If Box of Riches is in shops, Shaman specialization is also valid.

Meta Trends

The Berserker's strength is "opening rush + single-hit damage". In late-season 2026:

  • Pushes through the Ranger's Mega Clover before ignition
  • Aims to KO the Reaper's poison tank before stacks land
  • Needs damage to kill the Pyromancer twice through Phoenix
  • Favorable against the Adventurer's buff-steal builds because it doesn't carry many buffs

Unfavorable matchups include:

  • Sustain (Lifebinder, Shellguard) — loses the trade
  • Buff-strip (Cursed Dagger) — Anvil adjacency buffs get removed

Advanced Tips

  • Double Axe's adjacency to Anvil is judged where corners touch
  • Battle Rage triggers below an HP threshold — over-defending loses damage
  • Steel Goobert's buff-to-stamina/mana conversion stabilizes Anvil + Double Axe spam
  • Hot Coal → Flame generation → Burning Sword craft is a viable long-term plan
