Core Mechanic
The Shaman class item, Shaman Mask, converts Luck into various buffs and uses Shaman-exclusive Runes (Badger, Elephant, Hawk) to upgrade items. Because the Runes cannot be acquired by other classes, the build has unique character.
Early game, gather free gems from Box of Riches and reinforce socketed weapons. Once assembled, you have a distinctive playstyle, but whether the pieces line up depends on shop luck — stability is medium.
Recommended Subclass: Shaman
Shaman is mandatory at Round 8. Shaman Mask and the Runes are the centerpiece.

Center Shaman Mask and apply Runes to weapons. Place Box of Riches in the back of the bag and harvest gems each round.
Build Order
Early game (Rounds 1-6)
Build basics with Piggybank + Lucky Clover while chipping with Hammer or Axe. Watch for Box of Riches around rounds 3-5.
Mid game (Rounds 7-12)
Take Shaman at Round 8. Center Shaman Mask and gather Runes and socketed weapons. Set up Luck supply with Lucky Piggy.
Late game (Round 13+)
3 Rune types + 2-3 socketed weapons + gems is the finished form. Once the Luck-buff conversion and weapon-upgrade loop spin, the unique playstyle overwhelms the opponent.
Tactics and Positioning
This build is shop-luck dependent, so consider a backup plan (Fighter or Blacksmith) early. If Box of Riches and Runes never line up, the Shaman Mask buff conversion alone still produces submeta performance — be willing to switch to a generic build instead of forcing it.
Difficult Matchups and Counters
- Opening-rush archetypes: the build takes time to come together, so tighten early-damage management. Defend with shield + helm.
- Buff-strip: stripping Shaman Mask conversion buffs hurts. Counter with Amethyst.
- High armor: even Rune-buffed weapons can struggle to pierce. Mix in a Double Axe.
Variations
Pivoting to Blacksmith (Anvil) creates a Rune + Anvil hybrid. Combining with Fighter (Brass Knuckles) channels Shaman Mask buffs through Brass Knuckles onto your weapons.
