Rating & Analysis
Ghost Deck is the only deck with significantly elevated Spectral access. In standard decks, Spectrals only appear in Spectral Packs (or Ghost Deck shops) — Ghost Deck puts them directly on shop shelves, multiplying your chance to hit The Soul or Black Hole several-fold over any other deck.
The headline appeal is the fastest route to Legendary Jokers. The Soul spawns a random Legendary (Canio / Chicot / Perkeo / Triboulet / Yorick), and Perkeo in particular unlocks scaling ceilings unreachable on other decks. Black Hole adds permanent +1 to every hand level — Ghost Deck's score ceiling is among the highest in the game.
The starting Hex is a double-edged perk: it makes a random Joker indestructible (Eternal-equivalent), but if your first Joker is weak, the slot is wasted. To capitalize on the Spectral plan, expand consumable slots early (Crystal Ball → Omen Globe) so you can hold the Spectrals you draw.
Rating by Stake
| Stake | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| White / Red | S | Soul-into-Legendary is the fastest possible win. |
| Green | S | Black Hole permanence handles scaling chip requirements. |
| Black | S | Even with Eternal Jokers, a Legendary Joker carries the run. |
| Blue | S | -1 discard is irrelevant on a Spectral plan. |
| Purple / Orange | A+ | You really need a Soul drop; bad luck punishes hard. |
| Gold | A | Rental economy is rough; rely on consumable loops to survive. |
Good Joker Synergies
| Joker | Why |
|---|---|
| Perkeo | Negative-copies Spectrals / consumables for permanent stash — the dream pairing. |
| Sixth Sense | Playing only a 1 in your first hand of a Blind destroys it and spawns a Spectral. |
| Fortune Teller | Some Spectral interactions trigger growth — secondary scaling. |
| Cartomancer | Tarot supply combined with Spectrals saturates consumable slots. |
| Blueprint / Brainstorm | Copies Legendary or Perkeo for snowballing power. |
| Joker Stencil | Stencil scales with empty Joker slots — synergy with Spectral-locked picks. |
Recommended Builds
| Build | Core Loop | Target Consumables |
|---|---|---|
| Soul Legendary hunt | Soul → top-tier Legendary (especially Perkeo) | The Soul / Black Hole |
| Perkeo Negative loop | Spectral → Perkeo Negative-copies → permanent stock | Soul / Black Hole / The Fool |
| Sixth Sense Spectral axis | Sixth Sense generates Spectrals on demand for build edits | Any Spectral |
| Hex permanence | Use Hex on a strong Joker for Eternal-equivalent protection | Additional Hex cards |
Tips & Usage
- Expand consumable slots early — Crystal Ball → Omen Globe is essential to hold drawn Spectrals.
- The Soul is your top priority pickup. The whole run can pivot on a Legendary draw.
- Black Hole pairs best with Perkeo locked in — the Negative copy lets you reuse the level boost forever.
- Hold off on the starting Hex until you have a strong Joker to attach it to. A weak target wastes the slot.
- On high Stakes, manage rental economy and aim Hex / Perkeo at your highest-impact Joker.
Caveats
- Spectral plan depends heavily on deck effects; Ante 1–2 with bad draws is rougher than other decks.
- The starting Hex randomly attaches to a Joker — luck-dependent.
- Spectrals often destroy or transform held cards — read effects carefully before activating.
- If The Soul never appears, you'll need to pivot to a Tarot / Planet / Joker plan.
