Wild Card is an enhancement that counts as every suit. Its main role is as a must-have with suit-specific Jokers like Ancient Joker / Bloodstone / Arrowhead.
Enhancements are permanent, so they raise the baseline of your entire deck. Rather than spreading buffs thin, concentrating enhancements on a few key cards can be more efficient. Pairing with "enhancement count" Jokers like Driver's License multiplies the value sharply.
