Brainstorm shares the top tier with Blueprint as a copy-axis Joker. The key difference: Brainstorm always copies the leftmost Joker, regardless of its own position. This makes builds easier to maintain — once you fix a strong Joker at slot 1, Brainstorm will keep mirroring it through any later rearrangements.
The dream pairing is Blueprint. With a strong Joker placed where Blueprint can copy it (and another strong Joker at slot 1 for Brainstorm), you effectively triple the impact of two key Jokers — the strongest copy-flow build in the game.
Brainstorm shines on its own too. Strong leftmost picks like Baron (x1.5 Mult per King held), Triboulet (x2 Mult per King played), and DNA (duplicates first scored card) all benefit from being mirrored. Tier lists place Brainstorm at EX/S+, equal to Blueprint. The $10 cost is justified by its impact — buy on sight.

- Buy on sight. $10 is steep but the copy ceiling justifies it.
- Rule: always anchor the strongest Joker at slot 1. A weak leftmost Joker wastes Brainstorm's effect.

- For Baron axis, place Baron leftmost; Brainstorm anywhere to its right grants the mirror.

Caveats
- The leftmost Joker is the only target. Weak leftmost = weak Brainstorm.
- Brainstorm at slot 1 references itself and copies nothing.
- Perishable Brainstorm expiring mid-run effectively removes a slot.
- Brainstorm-on-Brainstorm chains don't recurse meaningfully.
- Selling the leftmost Joker shifts the copy target. Plan order changes carefully.
