Rating & Analysis
Lucky Cat is one of Balatro's signature permanent-scaling xMult cores. Every time a Lucky card's +Mult / +Chips / +Money procs, Lucky Cat permanently gains +x0.25 Mult. At $6 Uncommon it's cheap but easily snowballs to x10–x30 by mid/late game — especially with Oops! All 6s (doubles all probabilities) and The Magician (Tarot — converts 2 cards to Lucky).
Build core: Lucky-card density and trigger count per hand. 5 Lucky cards in hand can give up to 5 growth rolls per hand (probability permitting). Retrigger pieces (Hack, Mime, Hanging Chad) re-roll Lucky chances, accelerating growth. Blueprint/Brainstorm copying Lucky Cat means +x0.5 per trigger, effectively doubling output.
xMult is Balatro's strongest multiplier axis. Lucky Cat parallel with 8 Ball / The Idol or other permanent-xMult Jokers blows past late-game ceilings. Tier lists rate Lucky Cat S in Lucky-axis builds, A overall. Buy on sight.

Tips & Usage
- Always buy Lucky Cat on sight — the cheapest Uncommon permanent-scaling Joker.
- Funnel early Magician Tarots into Lucky-card conversion — build fuel before scaling.
- Once Oops! All 6s lands, all Lucky probabilities double; Lucky Cat's growth rate explodes.
- Place Blueprint to the right of Lucky Cat — copy gives +x0.5 per trigger, doubling output.
- Hack adds extra Lucky rolls; Red Seal Lucky cards add +1 roll on replay.
- Failed Lucky triggers do not grow Lucky Cat — only successful procs count.
Caveats
- "Successful trigger" = +Mult / +Chips / +Money actually procced. Failed rolls don't grow.
- Glass card break probability is independent — Lucky Cat only reads Lucky cards.
- Eternal Lucky Cat can't be sold, but you wouldn't anyway (grown ones are irreplaceable). Avoid Perishable (5 blinds → growth halts).
- Numbers feel low until Ante 4-5 — value of grown xMult shines in the endgame.
