The Duo is the most versatile hand-conditional xMult Joker — x2 Mult on any hand containing a Pair. Pair detection has the highest base rate of any hand condition: ~64% in 8-card hand draws, and 80%+ with one discard. Two Pair / Three of a Kind / Four of a Kind / Full House / Five of a Kind / Flush House all contain Pairs and trigger Duo.
The dream use is "all hand-axis xMult stack": Duo (Pair x2) + Trio (Three of a Kind x3) + Family (Four of a Kind x4) → on Four of a Kind, x2 × x3 × x4 = x24 Mult. Add The Tribe (Flush x2) on Flush House / Five of a Kind for x48-class burst.
Blueprint / Brainstorm copying The Duo yields effectively x4 Mult. Tier lists rate The Duo S thanks to its near-universal trigger rate. The $8 cost is fair; nearly every build benefits.

Tips & Usage
- Pair has the highest hit rate of any hand condition — Duo fires almost always.
- Stack Trio / Family for the "all hand-axis xMult" build.
- DNA chains Pair → Three → Four of a Kind via same-rank duplication.
- Blueprint to Duo's right doubles to x4 Mult.
- Hands without a Pair (Royal Flush, pure Straight) don't fire Duo — diversify xMult sources.
Caveats
- Triggers only on Pair (contained) — High Card / pure Straight / pure Flush don't qualify.
- Royal Flush / Straight Flush without a Pair component don't fire Duo.
- Perishable Duo is risky — losing the universal x2 hurts.
- Stone cards (no rank/suit) don't count toward Pair detection.
- Even with high trigger rate, build still needs +Mult / chip support to maximize damage.
