Brood Mother is a unique spawner-type ball. On landing, it releases multiple spider miniballs that scatter outward from the impact point and independently deal damage to any enemies they contact. A single throw generates multiple simultaneous hit opportunities, making Brood Mother exceptionally strong against grouped enemies.
Solo it's B-tier — the base spawn count is limited and the spiders deal modest individual damage. In the right build with spawner-boosting passives, however, it punches significantly above its tier. Post-evolution, the ball's performance improves markedly.
When to Pick
Pick Brood Mother if you have spawner or area-damage passives that amplify it. In a build focused on maximizing hit count across an entire enemy formation, Brood Mother's scatter mechanic is more efficient than most single-projectile balls.
Lower value in single-target fights where the scattered spiders have nowhere to go.
Evolutions
Brood Mother evolves into stronger spawner-type balls. Evolved forms typically generate more spiders per impact, give the spawned miniballs better individual stats, or combine Brood Mother's scatter with additional effects. Pursue evolution as soon as the materials are available — the upgrade is significant.
