Heart Swallower
Saps enemies on hit, with a {[lifesteal_chance]} chance of stealing {[lifesteal_heal]} health and reducing their attack damage by {[reduce_dmg_pct]}. Lifesteal chance only applies once per enemy.

- Effect: Has a chance on hit to lifesteal HP from enemies and apply an attack-weaken debuff. Lifesteal triggers once per enemy maximum.

Rating
A Shadow Update lifesteal + debuff support ball — the headline survival tool for low-HP characters.
Heals you while simultaneously reducing incoming damage by weakening the enemy's attack. Mandatory pickup in any Tiptoer build because it patches her two biggest weaknesses (low HP + low defense) at once.
The "once per enemy" lifesteal cap means it loses value in long boss phases — pair with other heal sources for late-game sustain.
Best Pairings
- Tiptoer — solves the low-HP / low-damage tradeoff
- Ascetic — low-HP playstyles need the lifesteal
- Sisyphus — 4× AoE applies the steal to multiple targets
- Physicist — ball-physics multipliers stack hit count
Evolutions
- Heart Swallower + Vampirism → larger lifesteal value
- Heart Swallower + AoE → simultaneous steal from multiple enemies
Playstyle
- Trash-heavy waves give the most value (per-enemy refresh)
- Aim deliberately when low on HP
- For boss fights, supplement with another sustain source
