Quick Reference

Item Details
Effect Each hit has X% chance to charm enemy for X seconds. Charmed enemies curse nearby enemies. Cursed enemies take X-X burst damage after being hit X times
Category Charm / Chain Curse
Tier A

Rating

Incubus is an A-tier Charm-line evolved ball focused on offense through curse spreading. The core chain: charm an enemy → the charmed enemy curses nearby allies → cursed enemies detonate for burst damage after X hits.

Unlike Banshee (which directly curses everyone on the field), Incubus uses the charmed enemy as a localized curse-spreader. One charmed target surrounded by allies can curse the entire group. Targeting dense enemy clusters maximizes how many enemies receive the curse from each charmed unit.

Compared to Succubus (which heals you when hitting charmed enemies), Incubus trades healing for area curse-spreading offense — it's the aggressive variant.

When to Pick

  • Dense enemy stages where one charmed target can curse large surrounding groups
  • Curse-stacking builds combining Incubus with Banshee, Phantom, or Sacrifice
  • Multi-hit builds that rapidly accumulate charm procs and curse hit counters
  • Offense-oriented builds that want charm-based debuffs without relying on healing

Best Characters

Character Synergy Reason
Multi-target builds S One charmed enemy in a crowd curses the whole group for mass detonations
Multi-hit builds A More hits = more charm procs = more curse chains = more burst detonations
Curse-stacking builds A Layer Incubus curse with Phantom/Banshee curse for combined burst damage

Recommended Passives

Passive Synergy
Charm proc chance up More reliable charm application as the chain trigger
Curse burst damage up Higher burst per curse detonation
Curse trigger count reduction Fewer hits to detonate = more frequent explosions
Charm duration extension Charmed enemies curse more targets over their duration
Fire rate increase More hits = faster charm procs and curse hit count accumulation

Tips

  1. Target enemies in dense groups — a charmed enemy surrounded by others spreads curse to all of them; this is where Incubus shines
  2. Follow up with rapid attacks — after curse spreads, pour in hits to fill curse counters on the whole group simultaneously
  3. Combine with other curse sources — Banshee's field-wide curse + Incubus's spreading curse creates overlapping curse coverage
  4. Think of it as area curse setup — Incubus is a charm ball that functions as an area curse applicator; use it for group setups

TL;DR

Incubus charms enemies who then curse their nearby allies, creating area curse spread from a single charm proc. A-tier chain curse offense. Best in dense enemy clusters and curse-stacking builds.
