Rating and Analysis

A Cost 2 attack dealing 17 damage (22 upgraded) while automatically Exuding the top of the draw pile. Raw damage efficiency is high for Cost 2, and the upgraded 22 damage is potent single-target firepower. Top-of-deck Exude is random compared to targeted options (War Drum, Havoc), but it triggers Exude synergies (Ash Strike, Evil Eye, Feel No Pain, Dark Embrace) as a bonus. In Exude decks, Charred reliably fires those triggers while still delivering big damage - a strong inclusion.

How to Use

In decks packed with Exude synergy, Charred grants damage plus Exude effect for a double benefit. When running Ash Strike, every Charred increases Exude count and raises Ash Strike's damage. With Feel No Pain (Block on Exude), Charred also generates Block automatically. Use Headbutt to keep important cards off the top of the draw pile and avoid unintended Exudes. Pure damage output is solid enough that Charred is worth considering even without Exude synergy.

Good Synergies

  • Ash Strike: Attack dealing 3-4 damage per Exude. Charred's Exudes raise its damage every time.
  • Feel No Pain: Power granting Block on Exude. Charred automatically earns Block each use.
  • Dark Embrace: Power drawing on Exude. Each Charred also triggers a draw.
  • Evil Eye: Skill gaining bonus Block if you've Exuded this turn. Charred satisfies the condition for max Block.
  • Headbutt: Attack that places discarded cards on top of the draw pile. Inverse use: keep valuable cards off the top.
