Overview
Swollen Fist turns your deck size itself into a source of reliable AOE damage. At the beginning of each turn, before you draw, it calculates how many cards are still in your draw pile and fires off that number times two as damage to every enemy on screen.
This creates a unique archetype that runs counter to the usual Vampire Crawlers strategy of trimming your deck down to a lean, consistent engine. Instead, Swollen Fist rewards deliberately bloating your deck. A 35-card deck, for instance, deals 70 automatic damage to every enemy at the start of each turn — before you even play a single card.
The Deck Box relic is the ideal companion, as it raises your deck size cap and gives you room to keep adding cards without worrying about hitting the limit. Combining Swollen Fist with cards that add extra copies or generate junk cards can push your deck well above 30 cards, making the passive damage a dominant win condition even against elite enemies.
Tips
Do not take Swollen Fist if your deck has fewer than roughly 20 cards — the payoff simply will not justify the slot. Commit to a big-deck strategy from the moment you pick it up. Because large decks are harder to navigate, bring at least one draw-support card to ensure you can still reach your key pieces when you need them.
