Every 100 cards played permanently increases your maximum mana by 1.

Mana Syphon is a long-game arcana that grows stronger as a run progresses. Each time you play your 100th card cumulatively, your mana ceiling rises by one, allowing you to play more cards per turn and thus deal more damage, build more combo, and generate more resources.

This arcana forms one third of the "mana trinity" alongside Chain Link and Sharp Mind. When all three are active, the loop becomes self-reinforcing: Sharp Mind carries unspent mana into the next turn, Mana Syphon converts that surplus into combo stacks, and Chain Link prevents those stacks from ever resetting. The result is a snowballing combo count that can reach triple or quadruple digits in a long run.

Picking Mana Syphon early is strongly preferred. Every floor you play through generates more card plays and thus more mana expansions. Starting with it at floor one versus floor six could mean the difference of two or three extra mana by the end of the run — a substantial impact on throughput.

Card-heavy decks that play ten or more cards per turn reach the 100-card milestone faster than slow, high-cost decks. If your build leans toward expensive cards and few plays per turn, Mana Syphon's benefit accumulates slowly. It remains a sound pick regardless, but in fast-cycling decks it is transformative. Always take it if Chain Link and Sharp Mind are already in your build.
