Character Overview
Ramba is a wide-area defense specialist who starts with Garlic. His innate passive extends Garlic's AoE radius by +50%, making the already strong proximity damage aura substantially larger. Ramba excels at crowd control against dense enemy waves, but his specialization in Garlic-centric play limits build flexibility.
Unique Ability
Garlic's AoE radius is permanently increased by +50%. This creates a noticeably wider damage field around Ramba compared to other Crawlers using Garlic, effectively processing large waves of approaching enemies before they can deal damage. The bonus may apply to evolved Garlic variants as well.
Strengths
- Garlic area coverage exceeds 1.5x that of other Crawlers, providing dominant crowd control
- Particularly powerful on stages with dense enemy waves or clustered spawns
- Passive AoE damage frees up active card plays for other attack cards
- Area Gems stack efficiently with the expanded radius for further coverage
Weaknesses
- Passive only enhances Garlic — no benefit for any other weapon type
- Weak single-target focus makes boss encounters challenging without supplementary damage
- Pure Garlic builds may lack raw damage for high-difficulty late stages
- Narrow build path restricts adaptability when Garlic drops are unfavorable
Recommended Build
The only core build is Garlic expansion. Stack Area-boosting Gems to maximize the radius bonus. Add Swollen Fist to amplify AoE effects further. Use La Borra in combination with Garlic to add a second layered AoE effect. Position to keep enemies within the Garlic field at all times.
Recommended Arcanas
- Sharp Mind: Improves draw rate for Area-type cards
- Mana Syphon: Provides Mana for other attack cards running alongside Garlic
Recommended Relics
- Gem Hammer: Combines with Area Gems to push Garlic's coverage to its limit
- Stardust Anvil: Provides bonus range on Garlic weapon evolution
Tier Rating: C Tier
Peak Garlic crowd control is genuinely impressive, but the narrow specialization and reliance on Garlic drops make Ramba difficult to pilot consistently. C Tier reflects the lack of fallback options when Garlic cards don't appear. Recommended only for players specifically interested in the Garlic-expansion playstyle.
