"Look Around" for an Uncommon Potion is generally the better call. Uncommon Potions hit harder and often decide Elite or boss fights. A single quality potion beats three crude ones in most situations.

That said, the 3 Crude Potions do have a unique use. Using a Crude Potion at the Merchant (?) event triggers a special path where post-combat you get 300 Gold plus all fake Relics plus the Merchant's Rug. If you are chasing that interaction, saving Crude Potions has massive value.

• Always check potion slot availability. If only 1 slot is open, the single Uncommon is overwhelmingly better
• 3 Crude Potions eat up slots. Even if a better potion shows up later, you might not have room
• If you want the Merchant (?) combo, saving Crude Potions is a valid plan. The 300 Gold plus Relic bundle is huge
• Uncommon Potions work as immediate power. If an Elite or boss is coming up soon, the potion could be the key to the win
• If you have a Relic that triggers on potion use, the higher-use count of 3 Crude Potions can outshine a single Uncommon through synergy
