If you have a low-use Uncommon Potion, insert it. An Upgraded Uncommon Attack is a guaranteed pickup, and it often outvalues using the potion in combat.

That said, potions you really want to use in combat (heals, boss-fight buff potions) should be saved. If a potion is clogging your slot and not serving you, this event is the ideal outlet.

• The reward card is already Upgraded, so it is combat-ready. Normal card rewards come un-Upgraded, making this a major edge
• If potion slots are full and you cannot pick up new potions, this event frees a slot while adding a card — two birds with one stone
• Encountering this early in Act 1 means the Upgraded Uncommon Attack smooths the rest of the journey significantly
• If all your potions are must-keeps for Elite or boss fights, leaving is also correct. Weigh potion combat value against a single card
