Necrobinder

Reaper Lethal Build

Build Overview

An explosive build around Reaper Form (each attack hit also applies Doom equal to the damage dealt), then releases the accumulated Doom with Day of Reckoning (AoE lethal) or The Hour (damage equal to Doom value). Firing big hits like Banshee's Wail (33 AoE) or Wring Out (25 + Osti attacks x5) after placing Reaper Form auto-stacks massive Doom alongside the damage. Day of Reckoning lethals enemies with Doom above their HP, so you aim to stack Doom past HP with Reaper Form damage plus the +29 from Day of Reckoning.

Tier: S

With Reaper Form up, every attack applies Doom, and the four-card combo with Oblivion + Shadow Cloak + The Hour hits a top-tier ceiling. After Reaper Form, even normal attacks auto-stack huge Doom, so combining with Day of Reckoning or The Hour can end fights in 1-2 turns — a burst ceiling above other builds. Paired with Shadow Cloak, attacks also auto-generate Block, making offense and defense deeply unified. Friendship and energy management are the key, but once the combo lands, the reward is top-class for Necrobinder.

Key Cards (Essential)

  • Reaper Form: Cost 3 Power. After placement, every attack hit applies Doom equal to its damage. A 30-damage hit applies 30 Doom, 50 damage = 50 Doom, so big hits spiral Doom exponentially
  • Day of Reckoning: Cost 3 applying 29 Doom to all enemies and lethaling enemies with Doom over current HP. The ultimate weapon — built to push Reaper-generated Doom past the lethal threshold with +29 on top
  • Friendship: Cost 1 for +1 energy each turn (Strength -2). An essential energy engine to use Reaper Form (3) and Day of Reckoning (3) in the same fight. Placed early, the rest of the combat plays much easier

Candidate Cards

  • The Hour: Exude attack dealing damage equal to Doom stacks. Backup finisher if Day of Reckoning doesn't lethal. 200+ Doom under Reaper Form becomes a 200-damage hit with The Hour
  • Banshee's Wail: Cost 9 (7 upgraded), 33 AoE damage — cost 0 with enough Ethereals played. Under Reaper Form, adds 33 Doom to all enemies in one go — the peak efficient card for damage + Doom
  • Wring Out: Cost 3 Osti attack dealing 25 + Osti attacks x5. Under Reaper Form the total 50-75 damage adds the same amount of Doom at once
  • Doombringer: Cost 2 applying 21-26 Doom and Weak 1 to all enemies. Reaper Form stacks attack Doom, but Doombringer is direct Doom — a speed-focused supplement
  • Nowhere to Run: Scaling skill adding 5 Doom per existing 10 Doom. Use as a follow-up to double Reaper-generated Doom
  • Oblivion: Cost 0 applying 3 Doom per card played this turn. Combined with Reaper Form, a single turn stacks Doom from both attacks and Oblivion
  • Shadow Cloak: Gain 2-3 Block per Doom applied. Reaper Form's large Doom applications auto-generate Block, solving defense at the same time
  • Misery: Spreads one target's debuffs to all enemies. Concentrate Doom on a single target with Reaper Form, spread to all, then Day of Reckoning for AoE lethal

Relic Synergies

  • Immortal Crest: Necrobinder-exclusive relic reducing damage from enemies with Doom-over-HP by 50%. Reaper Form floods Doom, so incoming damage halves — the combat endurance climbs massively until Day of Reckoning lands
  • Mummified Hand: After a Power play, a random card in hand becomes cost 0. Multi-Power builds (Reaper Form, Friendship, Shadow Cloak) get free extra plays during setup turns
  • Lantern: +1 energy at combat start. Reaper Form (cost 3) plays on turn 1, and with Friendship you have 5 energy on turn 1
  • Eerie Lamp: First debuff-applying card per combat is doubled. First Doombringer becomes 42-52 Doom, nearly closing the lethal gap for Day of Reckoning on its own
  • Gambling Chip: Mulligan at combat start. Reliably draw Reaper Form and Friendship in the opening hand for the fastest combo setup
  • Game Piece: Draw 1 on any Power play. Reaper Form, Friendship, Shadow Cloak, Oblivion — placing 4+ Powers makes per-Power draw a large benefit
  • Permafrost: Gain 6 Block on the first Power played each combat. Covers Reaper Form or Friendship's setup turn when you're otherwise defenseless

Play Plan

Act 1

Prioritize Friendship for the early-game setup — anything that eases Reaper Form's cost 3 (energy relics, energy cards) is worth grabbing. Build the deck with Doom-deck basics (Doombringer, Nowhere to Run, Shadow Cloak) and watch for the right turn to place Reaper Form. Act 1 bosses likely precede Reaper Form placement — handle them with standard Doom stacking.

Act 2

Pick Reaper Form — non-negotiable. Ideal elite line: Reaper Form, Banshee's Wail (33 AoE + 33 Doom applied), Nowhere to Run (double Doom). Banshee's Wail's cost went up to 9 (7 upgraded) in v0.103.0, so prep enough Ethereals before leaning on cost 0. Add Wring Out to pad Osti attack count. The Hour + Day of Reckoning as a duo covers finishing redundancy. Misery enables single-target-to-AoE lethal pivots.

Act 3

Enter bosses with Reaper Form + Friendship placed. Ideal line: "Reaper Form placed, Shadow Cloak placed, Banshee's Wail cost 0 33 AoE (applies 33 Doom), Wring Out (+60 damage, +60 Doom), Nowhere to Run to double Doom, check lethal threshold on Day of Reckoning, finish with The Hour." For 100-150 HP bosses, 2-3 turns of Reaper Form attacks push Doom to 100-200, so Day of Reckoning crossing the lethal threshold is nearly certain.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

  • After Reaper Form, normal attacks auto-stack Doom — no extra input needed for the combo to work
  • Banshee's Wail (33 damage + 33 Doom) is a beautifully one-to-one conversion of damage to Doom
  • Day of Reckoning's lethal ignores final HP, so any strong enemy is in range
  • Shadow Cloak synergy means each attack also builds Block, strengthening offense and defense simultaneously

Weaknesses

  • Reaper Form's cost 3 is heavy — without Friendship placement can be rough
  • Pre-Reaper Form damage underperforms compared to standard Doom builds, so Act 1 and early Act 2 can be lean
  • Day of Reckoning's lethal needs Doom above current HP — insufficient stacking means falling back to The Hour
  • Needs multiple high-cost Powers (Reaper Form, Friendship), so missed picks leave a half-finished deck
