Rating & Analysis
Blue Deck adds +1 hand per round — a simple, hugely stabilizing effect. More hands per round = more attack chances per Blind, meaning you don't have to rely on a single huge swing. Even with low hand levels or mediocre Jokers, you can grind out scores reliably. This is the safest "I just want to clear" deck.
Compared to Red Deck (+1 discard), Red gives flexibility in building a strong hand, while Blue gives more attempts to play it. Blue has the lower "I needed one more hand to survive" failure mode, which makes it especially strong on high Stakes. Tier lists routinely place Red and Blue side-by-side as the top two starter decks.
The extra hand also unlocks synergy with hand-counting Jokers — Banner (chips per remaining hand), Mr. Bones (continue run on 1 hand left), 8 Ball (Tarot per played 8). Trigger-counting builds where every additional play matters benefit from the surplus.

Good Joker Synergies
| Joker | Why |
|---|---|
| Banner | Chips per remaining hand — Blue Deck's extra hand goes straight to score. |
| Mr. Bones | Continue run on 1 hand left — Blue Deck makes hitting that condition easier. |
| 8 Ball | Tarot per played 8. More hands = more triggers. |
| Baron | x1.5 Mult per held King. Repeated hands stack the effect. |
| Triboulet | x2 Mult per played King. +1 hand = more activations. |
| Blueprint / Brainstorm | Copies any strong Joker — multiplies trigger-based builds. |
Recommended Builds
| Build | Core Loop | Target Consumables |
|---|---|---|
| Banner stable score | Banner + extra hand stacks +30–50 chips per round | Bonus / Mult Tarots |
| Baron / Triboulet King axis | Hold or play Kings every hand for compounding Mult | The Emperor (King generation) |
| 8 Ball Tarot axis | Stack 8s, play multiple hands for repeated triggers | Enhancement Tarots |
| Generalist Jokers | Blueprint / Brainstorm + strong base Jokers | Black Hole / The Soul |
Tips & Usage
- Don't aim for "one big hand" — spread damage across multiple smaller hands to leverage the surplus.
- Hand-counting Jokers (Banner, Mr. Bones) are top pickup priority.
- Push hand-leveling intentionally — multiple hands give you flexibility to play different hand types and pick up Planet cards.
- Best deck for Blue Stake: the extra hand effectively negates the -1 discard penalty.
- Keep economy healthy and lock in one scaling Joker by Ante 4.
Caveats
- No direct score-multiplier effect. You still need Joker scaling and hand-leveling.
- If you don't use the extra hand each round, the deck buff is wasted.
- Choosing between Red and Blue: discard-based plans → Red, hand-counting plans → Blue.
- Doesn't have the explosive ceiling of Magic / Zodiac — but it's the stable workhorse.
