Rating & Analysis

Juggler is a simple +1 hand size Joker — small but stable. At Common $4, it permanently widens hand options. 8 → 9 cards makes Flush / Four of a Kind / Straight assembly easier and reduces discard pressure.

The optimal play is as hand-selection support. Combined with Painted Deck (+2 hand size) yields 11-card hands — 5-card hand formation becomes trivial. With DNA / Stone cards (held in hand), you have leeway when junk cards clog the hand.

Caveat: solo effect is small. The Joker slot is a real cost — pass if better picks are available. Tier lists rate Juggler B+ for utility. The $4 cost is cheap, but build alignment matters.

Good Joker Synergies

Joker Why
Troubadour +2 hand / -1 hand size — combine with Juggler for 11-card hands.
Stone Joker Deck-size +Chips — Stone-hold synergy.
Baron / Shoot the Moon Hold-effect Jokers — more held Kings/Queens.
DNA More options when playing single cards.
Mime Held-card retrigger — bigger hold pool.
Blueprint / Brainstorm Copy = effective +2 hand size.

Tips & Usage

  • Solo Juggler is B+; pairing with hold-effect Jokers raises value.
  • Painted Deck + Juggler = 11-card hands for max flexibility.
  • Antimatter Spectral / Wasteful → Recyclomancy expand hand size further.
  • Blueprint to Juggler's right effectively gives +2 hand size.
  • Joker slot cost is real — weigh against stronger Joker options.

Caveats

  • Solo effect is modest — alignment with build matters.
  • Perishable Juggler is risky — hand size reverts on expiry.
  • Hand-size-reducing decks (Black Deck / Stuntman) cancel out parts.
  • Larger hand still plays only 5 cards — selection improves but burst doesn't.
  • $1 sell value — consider selling late-run if no synergy.
