Rating & Analysis
Square Joker grants +4 Chips per played 4-card hand — a permanent-scaling Chip Joker. At Common $4, 20 hands = +80 Chips, 50 hands = +200 Chips. With xMult support, it becomes a sturdy chip-axis floor for the late game.
The catch: "exactly 4 cards" rules out 5-card hands (Flush / Straight / Full House). Best paired with Four of a Kind (4 cards) / Two Pair (2 pairs = 4 cards) / pure Three of a Kind. In Four-of-a-Kind builds, parallel with The Family / The Tribe / Photograph rewards growth.
The dream pairing is Abandoned Deck + Four-of-a-Kind axis — removing J/Q/K from the deck stabilizes 4-card number-axis hands. Plasma Deck synergizes nicely (chip averaging compounds growth). Tier lists rate it B overall, B+ in 4-card builds. The $4 cost pays itself back in ~5 hands.
Good Joker Synergies
| Joker | Why |
|---|---|
| The Family | x1.5 Mult on Four of a Kind — primary 4-card hand. |
| The Tribe | x2 Mult on Flush — branches the 5-vs-4 choice. |
| Vampire | Absorbs Enhancements on play — stable 4-card consumption. |
| Blueprint / Brainstorm | Copies +Chip growth, doubling output. |
| Plasma Deck | Chip averaging multiplies +Chip exponentially. |
| Stuntman | +250 Chips floor — strong chip-axis pairing. |

Tips & Usage
- Play exactly 4 cards intentionally; alternate with 5-card hands by need.
- Buy early to maximize hand count. 50 hands = +200 Chips floor.
- Place Blueprint to its right for +8 Chips/hand growth speed.
- Pair with The Family for x1.5 Mult Four-of-a-Kind alongside permanent +Chips.
- Abandoned Deck (no faces) makes 4-card number hands more reliable.
Caveats
- No growth on 5-card hands (Flush / Straight / Full House) — pure 4-card-only.
- Flush-axis builds can't trigger growth — align with your build plan.
- Avoid Perishable — growth halts after 5 blinds.
- Slow ramp early; pays off in mid/late game.
- 1/2/3-card hands also don't grow (exactly 4 only).
