Reaper is an S-tier evolved ball and the third evolution in the Vampire line. On every hit, it rolls a proc chance for an instant kill — if it fires, the enemy dies immediately regardless of remaining HP. A successful kill also heals your HP.
This is straightforwardly one of the most powerful effects in the game. Instant kill bypasses all defense, HP scaling, and damage reduction mechanics. Against high-HP late-game enemies, a Reaper proc cuts through what would otherwise take sustained effort. Combined with HP recovery on trigger, it rewards aggressive play with both offense and healing.
The proc-dependent nature adds variance, but stacking Reaper proc passives quickly turns each Reaper throw into a reliably lethal weapon.
When to Pick
- Late game where enemy HP has scaled far beyond your damage
- Builds needing HP recovery alongside damage
- Any run where the Vampire line has already been established
- Stages with many mid-tier enemies that benefit from one-shot clearing
